Mud Bay Community Dock is a vital link for many islanders to Nanaimo for work, shopping, school and other activities, its upkeep is essential both for insurance purposes and water lot lease conditions.

 

Apart from volunteerism, which also plays a big role in qualifying for the City's property tax exemption grant, MOORAGE DUES PAY THE BILLS, for materials for the maintenance, the water lot lease and insurance, which names both the NPA and City as well as PINA.

2020 Fee: $350/vessel or $325 if paid by Saturday, November 2, 2019 . This annual fee applies to each vessel (boat, canoe, or kayak) and is not available on a pro-rated basis.  We are asking all users to please pay by cheque this year. We hope to be adding an on-line payment option for 2021. Cheques can be dropped off starting October 1st at 13 Treasure Trail. Please make cheques out to the Protection Island Neighborhood Association or PINA. Please have cheques in an envelope with the following information included: Name, address, phone number and email contact. Place the envelope INTO THE MAILBOX next to the front door only. Please do not ring doorbell or knock...the box will be emptied daily.

  1. For those who absolutely cannot pay with a cheque, specific collection dates for cash payments will be as follows: 

    • October 5, 3:00 pm- 7:00 pm at 67 Pirates Lane (see Sandy)

    • October 19, 9:00 am-7:00 pm at 67 Pirates Lane (see Sandy)

    • November 2, 5:00-8:00 pm at 67 Pirates Lane (see Sandy) 

    • After November 2, call or text Kevin at 250-616-3464
